Korpegården as a classic Corp de Logis, Gustavian style, is beautifully situated overlooking Wedumsdalens cultural landscape - a living countryside. The estate was owned in the 16th century by the family Roos av Hjälmsäter, one of the kingdom's wealthiest. The family had good relations with the King Gustav Vasa. Later Korpegården was owned by the family Papegoja, whose coat of arms hangs in the Järpås church.
The ground floor of today's main building was built in the 17th century and the second floor (piano nobilie) 1790. Then got Koregården its present form. At the farm were formerly a church, grated in the 16th century, and various buildings that housed schools, dairy, bakery, distillery forge etc. Sivan's Ost (cheese) originated on the farm dairy. In the picturesque surroundings there are cultural memories in the form of ancient tombs, stone circles, a huge menhir and a renowned source, David's källa.
On the farm are our horse shop with equipment for large and small, both horses and riders. In Wedumsdalen can you also find Västeby clothing store for women, Enströms & Blom's pottery workshop, Stora Bryne´s with art exhibitions etc.
